We’ve been refining this recipe since its inception. Multiple brewing iterations later, what we have here is a mix of caramalt and extra pale malt from the finest UK barley. Chosen by our Co.bru community for its great palette of sugars (and a colour to match the flavours).
Imported hops are carefully curated and measured to deliver a balance of bitterness and vibrant fruity aromas. Chinook, Citra, El Dorado, and Comet hops add a wide range of tropical flavours, including grapefruit, mango, and melon. But that’s not all. They also impart subtle spicy and earthy notes to keep you guessing from the first to the very last sip.
This recipe is rumoured to have been developed one December afternoon under the baking African sun. A refreshing, delicate, and easy drinking beer. Hops imported all the way from Africa—Southern Passion, African Queen, and Southern Aroma—give this pale ale its unique South African profile. The low residual sugars from the extra pale malt leaves the SAPA with a crisp, almost lagery taste!
